Carlos Lezama, one of the founding fathers of the West Indian-American Day Carnival Association (the big labor day parade in Brooklyn) passed away in January 2007. Now there is a Caribbean Cultural Center dedicated in is name. The Carlos Lezama Archival and Caribbean Cultural Center (CLACC-C, pronounced Klas-cee).
